Will there be autographs in Heaven?

I absolutely relate to the Apostle Peter in many ways. He was brash and impulsive. He was at times fearless and yet also fearful. He was a screw-up. Apparently, he could also be a little star-struck. His reaction at the Transfiguration cracks me up...which got me to thinking.....

When we get to Heaven, we'll be able to hobnob with all the great men and women of the Bible. We could have breakfast with Adam (no fruit, please), sing along with David (lyres provided), walk with Enoch (God will probably join us too), and recline at a table with JC Himself (no utensils necessary). I won't lie...I'm totally pumped about getting to meet all of these great people and more. I'll probably even ask for their autograph.

What about you? What person from the Bible are you looking forward to meeting in Heaven? What would you like to ask them?

I want to meet John. And Mary. I want to sit with her and share stories of our boys. Not that Ethan in anyway compares to baby Jesus. But wouldn't it be fun to hear stories of him as a baby and toddler. Was he as active as Ethan? Did he talk early? What was it like to potty train? Baby Jesus stories would FASCINATE me!

Me too! Max Lucado had a chapter in his book "God Came Near" entitled "25 Questions for Mary" in which he listed the questions he wanted to ask her. I can't remember them all, but one I do remember was "Did you and Jesus ever try to count all the stars one night...and succeed?" Good stuff.

I think it would be wild to go out to eat Mexican food with John the Baptist. I think it would be a wild story of how he was led to the desert ate wild honey, wore animal skins, had the honor of proclaiming the Messiah had come, baptizing the Son of God, was jailed, then beheaded. All over chips and salsa. That will be cool!

Oh you all are too weird! Kyle, I forgot how funny you are! Now by reading your blog, I can remember...that your funny.

This week my boys were told the Jacob and Esau story in two different settings. So got me and Ryan thinking, whatwasthatallabout?? So when I go to heaven, I want to ask them what was up with the hairy arms.

Jenn - hairy arms meets chest hair removal scene from "40-Year-Old-Virgin" (AHHH KELLY CLARKSON!) and Jake might not have got the blessing over Esau. God is indeed an enigma...

Thanks for posting!
