make sure you have someone in the group that knows it well enough to lead or get a good book that you can follow. Trying to study at random is too hard for most
OK, the title might be a little misleading. I do not make tents. I am actually a compounding pharmacist, so I make drugs instead. However, I find it rather fascinating that the Apostle Paul had a profession outside of ministry - making tents. Like Paul, I am trying to leverage my profession to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe there are other "tentmakers" out there, and this blog is for you!
Other FYI stuff: married to my amazing wife, Michele (11+ yrs & counting!), father of Kari Lynne Marie, we are founding members of Lifechurch.tv/Tulsa, and I LOVE to golf!

apply it to life... or it gets put into the short term memory and eventually gets flushed.
Get a consistent time of day and then JUST DO IT. (Hi. I don't know you, but I'm JDCliff's wife.)
Great tips everyone so far - keep them coming!
